It’s been a very long
time meeting you all!!!
I have come back to
share my Adventurous trek to "SKANDAGIRI", 70 kms off from
Bangalore.....with a new gang.
It was
Saturday when I got to know this matter from my father. At the beginning I
was totally opposing to this trek because I was not sure of its take off and
felt little bored as there was none for my company, But when I came back from
school there was quite lots of surprise waiting for me.
Firstly, when I had a look into my mobile there was lots
of messages shown. A minute I was stunned because I had never got so many
messages. Then later I got to know that a group was created for this trek. My
father's Facebook friends had joined, more than friends it’s like a family.
So there all started to discuss about the trek. Though many were known to me I felt
someone was missing for this trek. Later I got to know it was my muddu Akka
Rashmi Hegde. I contacted her and asked her to join the trek. It was high time
for her to accept it. But my love towards her, pulled her into this trek.
So, there were 11members, Chinmay Anna,
Damini Akka, Girish Anna, Jamuna Akka, Kishore uncle, Lakshmi Akka, Manjula Akka,
Rashmi Hegde Akka, Rashmi Akka, Appa, and me.
A vehicle was ready as our mode of transport.
We started our journey with lots of music and dance. The time flew very fast
and we reached the destined place. There was a shock waiting for us out there. The
organizer told that the tickets are sold out for the trek. The happiness
which was highlighted in everyone's face turned out to be a form of tension and
sadness. But Chinmay anna happened to bring back that happiness into our faces.
With all his efforts we finally got the tickets. Here began the actual trek
with some selfies and photos.
Trekking is not just a cup of coffee to drink
it very easily, for a coffee to be drunk, we need to prepare it first. The same
as trekking is, we need to prepare ourselves to trek and have that spirit to
climb it up. Mine was a first experience and I think it was for many too!! (referring
to girls) the gang Split up into 3 groups. One side there was Girish Anna, Damini
Akka, Manjula akka, me, another one was Rashmi Hegde akka, Lakshmi akka, Jamuna
akka and the last one was Chinmay anna, appa, Rashmi akka, and Kishore uncle.
Everyone was waiting to climb up fast so that
they can taste the huge ocean of milk!! but as I told it depends on the speed
they go. I was guided by Girish anna and there was a point of time where I was
left all Alone. I didn't care for it and continued because I knew that
anyways everyone will climb up and Girish anna will be there up….there were few
instances where I would have fallen but some of the trekkers coordinated and helped me out there. I feel
happy to say that I was the second one to climb up! then I found Damini akka
and Manjula akka coming up, I joined them and took some selfies.
We were reunited again. But Chinmay Anna
and Rashmi akka came little late because she wanted a support. Chinmay anna came
forward to help her out... a great salute to him for making her come up and for
being a great support to her. Finally, we encountered the milk and had a good
taste of it. A few minutes before sun had arrived at the horizon which became a
model for everyone as he posed for every camera...
We too wanted to prove that we are no less
than the sun and posed for many photos...
We spent lots of time there
taking photos and ate some snacks to make our stomachs filled...
Many think that in
trekking climbing is difficult whereas descending is easy... we too belonged to
that category!!! But then we realized that descending a hill is very difficult
because there we must put lots of pressure on our legs…so we carefully descended.
And talking about our model, “the great sun" was already above the horizon
and made us to experience his heat. He gave us a warning to go down very fast
otherwise he will make us to suffer from his heat. We didn't want to take
a chance hence we left the peak. The same continued again. Chinmay Anna became
a support for Rashmi akka but by the time she was descending she had gained
that spirit to trek and started to be independent unless she found some place difficult.
I and my father continued to get down.. whereas the others paused at some spots
for taking photos.
Everyone was almost reaching down, and we had
already reached the ground so as a result of our success we took a selfie.
We got a very good water supply to freshen up
and to drink to satisfy our thirst. After having some rest down, we left the
place and went near to our vehicle. Everyone was just waiting to get into the
vehicle and to rest themselves. We had a great time there.
"SKANDAGIRI"...I would like to
thank my father and Chinmay anna for making this trip a wonderful one in all spheres.
and mostly for Chinmay for his support and guidance to everyone. A great salute
again for him for his patience!!!! and my gang for giving a great company to me.
It was you guys who made my mind free from studies and tension because I had
not been out since long. This was a great opportunity for me!!
The first experience became a memorable one
and will be waiting for another trip with my gang!
Today being a special day that is "ARMY
DAY" I would like to wish CHINMAY Anna a “HAPPY
ARMY DAY"
And "HAPPY SANKRANTHI" to
everyone!!!
